Need help training your pup? We offer veteran and civilian classes throughout the year for people looking for puppy, basic, and advanced obedience training.
These services are currently only offered in our Billings location.

Are you a veteran that already has a dog and just need some help with obedience training? Dog Tag Buddies offers an 8-week basic obedience class to help you and your dog build a better relationship and improve communication between you to develop a well-behaved pet.
Class Details
- Classes are held at 924 Pine Ridge Ln. Suite #4, Billings, MT 59105
- Dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to first day of class. Proof of vaccinations is required
- Classes are at no cost, but the veteran must be the person doing the training

Pet Training classes
We are so lucky to be able to work with our head trainer, Bonnie Lusby, and her personal dog training business, B.H. Dog Training. Civilian classes not only help us continue to support our veterans, but it directly helps better the community – one good dog at a time.
Puppy Class
In this class, you and your puppy will build a training foundation together. Your puppy will learn acceptable behaviors and manners for the home and for interacting with other pups.
*Class Requirement: Puppy must be 12 weeks to 6 months old to be eligible*
Basic DOG Obedience
In this class, you and your dog will learn basic obedience skills and manners, as well as train and have fun! We mix in some agility, balance, and other obstacles to keep the learning material fresh and interesting for the pups and their handlers.
Advanced DOG Obedience
In this class, we take the training outside and in the real world. The majority of advanced obedience takes place in parks, trails, pet-friendly stores, and urban downtown. It’s one thing for your pup to behave in the home, but what about when they step outside? You and your dog will learn how to apply obedience in uncontrolled (but safe!) environments.
*Class Requirement: Must have completed a Basic Obedience course prior to class (NOT required to have been through B.H. Dog Training)*
Fun Games and Trick
In this class, we bring in the fun and creative side of dog training. You and your dog will build even more of a concrete foundation with each other through learning different games, tricks, and other mentally and physically stimulating exercises. We offer this class during the winter months because, even though it’s too cold and snowy to take the training outside, it is still important to continue a consistent training schedule for those who have completed Basic Obedience.
