They spent a day and a half at our Billings headquarters learning about service dogs and taking the first steps into their journey, including the most important part, picking their new partners! Today we honor America's veterans. But one day a year seems like a small token to recognize those who were willing to risk everything up to and including their lives to defend American freedom. And for many, the injuries sustained during their service have now become a battle they have daily, often silently. We lose more Veterans on American soil to death by suicide than to enemy fire.
