Cost to Train a Veteran-Service Dog Team
Training a veteran-service dog team is a 24 month investment in safety, independence, and long-term well-being. Each team receives comprehensive, personalized support from the day they enter the program until well after they graduate.
Total Program Cost per Team: $30,000 – $35,000 over 18-24 months.
All services are provided at no cost to the veteran.

Dog Chow® Service Dog Salute™
Since 2018, the Dog Chow Service Dog Salute Program has been committed to expanding access to PTSD service dogs for Veterans with demonstrated need. Through generous financial contributions, legislative advocacy, research support, and national awareness efforts, the program works to remove barriers and increase access to life-changing service dogs.
