DTB is an integrative therapeutic program providing improved daily living & social mobility for veterans living with the invisible wounds of war

Today, we're honored to join our community in cele Today, we're honored to join our community in celebrating Service to America Day at the MontanaFair .

This special day recognizes the men and women who have dedicated themselves to serving others—including Veterans, Active Military, First Responders, and Frontline Workers—with free gate admission to the fair all day.

We're proud to be part of an event that celebrates service, sacrifice, and the strength of our community.

If you're attending the fair, stop by the Dog Tag Buddies booth! We'd love to meet you, answer your questions about our program, and share how highly trained service dogs help veterans with hidden injuries regain confidence, independence, and connection to their communities.

Whether you're a longtime supporter or just learning about our mission, we'd love to say hello.

Why Standards Matter People often ask how long it Why Standards Matter

People often ask how long it takes to train a service dog.

The answer is simple: as long as it takes to meet the standard.

Every veteran-service dog team moves at its own pace, but the expectations remain the same.

As an Assistance Dogs International accredited organization, every graduating team must demonstrate reliable public access skills, consistent obedience, and individualized task work before graduation.

We don’t train to a calendar.

We train to a standard.

Because the people who rely on these dogs deserve nothing less.
Behind every veteran–service dog partnership is an Behind every veteran–service dog partnership is an entire community of people who choose to believe in our mission.

To every business, organization, and individual who has already committed to supporting this year's 5th Annual Celebrity Chef Gala—thank you.

Your generosity doesn't simply sponsor an event. It helps create opportunities for veterans to reconnect with their families, rebuild confidence, and reclaim the independence they've fought so hard to regain.

Each sponsorship creates ripples of hope that extend far beyond October 10, reaching veterans, families, and communities for years to come.

If you're considering joining this incredible group of supporters, there's still time to make an impact. Together, we can change even more lives—one veteran, one service dog, and one ripple of hope at a time.

Why We Train in the Community One of the biggest Why We Train in the Community

One of the biggest differences in our program isn’t found inside our training building—it’s found out in the community.

Service dogs don’t work in quiet classrooms. They work in grocery stores, restaurants, parks, schools, county fairs, airports, and busy sidewalks.

That’s why so much of our training happens in the real world.

Every community outing gives our veteran-service dog teams an opportunity to practice navigating the environments they’ll encounter in everyday life. They learn to work through distractions, build confidence, and strengthen the partnership they depend on outside the classroom.

Because the goal has never been simply to train a great service dog.

The goal is helping veterans confidently re-engage with their communities—one outing at a time.
